Understanding our Career Development

We understand that any staff member joining our team will be keen to know their potential career pathway and develop their opportunities.

At Opez we will work with you to develop your career path within our Opez Career Pathway structure.  

The Opez Career Pathway outlines a series of broad objectives for you to achieve at each level from Graduate through to Senior Manager or Principal Consultant providing you with a clear set of objectives to work towards at your own pace.

Understanding our Professional Development

We understand the opportunities we can give to our staff through professional development and so we are committed to supporting our staff through their chosen development plan.

We provide a program of in-house training, utilising internal and external experts to deliver an extensive series of tailored sessions, focussing on both the development and extension of your technical knowledge and expertise, as well as developing your people and management skills.
 
By providing study leave and staff mentoring, we also support and encourage our staff to achieve professional qualifications through external institutions, including but not limited to:
  • Tax Institute of Australia - All graduates complete Level 1 - Foundations Tax. This program provides information on basic tax issues.
  • CA or CPA Program  - These post Graduate courses offered by the Accounting Bodies enhance technical, intellectual, interpersonal and communication skills. Theseis courses leads to your qualification as a Chartered Accountant or CPA  which are recognised by the world's leading accounting bodies.
  • SSA – ultimately we encourage our staff to become  an SMSF Specialist Advisor, as recognised by SPAA

Understanding our Financial Assistance

We provide our staff with the opportunity to undertake professional development with our financial support including:
  • ICAA or CPA Fees
  • Superannuation Courses – preferably those Accredited by the Self Managed Super Fund Professionals’ Association of Australia (“SPAA”)
  • Professional Association/ Membership – nomination and subscription fees shall be paid for agreed associations such as ICAA, ASFA or others.
  • Professional Clothing Allowance  - after successful completion of the three months probation period Graduate Accountants are paid a Professional Clothing Allowance .
  • University Fees  - we contribute towards study expenses for trainee accountants.
  • Tax Institute Fees.
